As I found out right here on the LUG, the rounded corners represent the
cropping as found in that wonderful throwback to the past- The
Kodachrome slide mount. And they've never bothered me. I like the whole
feel of the viewfinder. Even though I'm left-eyed with my SLRs I find it
quite easy to use my M3 right-eyed while keeping my left eye open and
allowing the framelines to superimpose on the whole scene.
