Tom,

I tested four new 50/1.4 R lenses with the 60mm filter size. Brand,
spanking new R lenses, not M lenses. Lucien then asked if I used the same
camera for all my tests. The answer was "no". He probably has an excellent
point. When you are looking at miniscule distinctions between lenses and
sharpness at 1.4 with a 15x loupe, the camera can matter I would think. The
cameras used were either R6's or an R8.

Dan Cardish,

>>I think John was referring to the current Summilux M<<
                   >>lens, not the new R lens<<

His subject title was the new 50 R Summilux. How about it,
John; just what were these four lenses...the current M or
the new R 50 Summilux? A little clarification ;-)!
