Whether the lens was made in Canada or Germany didn't really matter in my decision in buying the Noctilux since I believe both factories are producing high quality products. I was just trying to find out if the particular stock I was getting was a recent one or not. Anyway I already have the lens and I'm really excited on using them. The lens was made in Canada and the serial # is 3738613. This makes this particular lens a close relative of Alf's lens (#3738596) and Tom's lens (#3738603) too. M. Espiritu
