If you don't luck out and a bargain-priced swap meet deal, try Leica #12550,
which is an E39 hood for the current (black) Elmar. I do not have the number
for the chrome unit handy. It is easiest to leave this hood in place, and
the press-on metal cap provided by Leica fits this well.

Price? Not sure, but I do know this: When I purchased a hood and custom
lenscap for the 35/2 Aspherical, I paid $105 for the set, which leads me to
believe that, if Leica doesn't make much money on the M6, they make up for
it elsewhere :-)
