What makes this a "future collectible" and why are you asking $400 to $600

over the going rate for a standard M6 HM?

Leica M6 HM, New in box, special serial number is #2425000. Best offer over

$2500. Future collectible.

The serial number is what makes it a future collectible. If you look through
Christie's auction catalogs you will find that cameras with special serial
numbers (2 consec. cameras, first 100 made, serial number matching year,
certain century marks etc.) will quite often sell to collects for quite a bit
more than the going market value for a "regular" camera of the same model.

You may not care about the serial number, but there are many who do. Even a
recent Tamarkin ad featured an M6 with a special serial number as an "instant
collectible."
