Having confirmed through the Netherlands that the Amsterdam dealer is an
authorized Leica dealer, having spoken to Solms, I have packed up the
defective 35 summilux ASP and am shipping it to Leica USA for transshipping
to Solms. The woman in Solms to whom I spoke said she didn't expect there'd
be any problem, but we'll see. I told her that if Leica opts to replace the
lens I'd rather have the black - lighter weight - version than the titanium,
despite the fact that I lose a bit of money on that deal.

So, now we'll see what happens...
