Fransesco,

Thira( Santorini) is not to be missed. Take a motorbike and a day to
leisurely travel along the crater rim, for those marvelous roof top
pictures. No photo's between 0900 and 1600 hours, the light will kill them.
You may be charged at archeology sites, but if its official, and the money
goes towards the upkeep of the site, why not? Usually, people do not object
to photography, and a M6 is much less intrusive than a F5, but the smile,
and Greek for: may I take a picture, will do wonders. Respect, that's all
that count, and a little oldworldly politeness. And also: do not be in a
hurry, you will miss too much!
