Aaargh!  Whisper it not anywhere near the ears of Jim, but the dreaded UV
filter thread has struck again.

In addition to "Leicas Anon." (Dan Post, founder member), we must form "UV
Anon." before this addiction spreads further.

Andrew - you haven't heard this from me, but I can't do without UV. I
confess in front of the entire assembly of LUGnuts that, when confronted
with the expanse of expensive front glass on a 21/4 Super Angulon R, I
sinned, and spent approx. USD100 on a _multicoated_ UV filter to protect
the damn thing. Funnily enough, all my favourite lenses seem to have high
quality UV filters stuck on the front....but when you've bought one, you
buy another.

Guess what - I can't tell the difference even shooting into the sun, and I
bet you won't either.

Go for it! (for protection, of course). This, also of course, is strictly
between ourselves.
