[Leica] LUG & Brian Reid (Majordomo) charter

As a newbie to the LUG, I have probably more recently read about 
what Brian Reids intentions were in setting up the LUG & his other fine
groups.  My interpretation is that Brian didn't want it to be just another
source of Leica "Information Please" (FAQ)  but a viable instrument of
intelligent & amiable communication dealing with the Leica RF camera
(mainly) as well as the "R" & all things related to their use - ie single
malt scotch, BMW and even Diana's paparazzi.

The founding fathers of the United States, in their "Bill of Rights" had
the same idea as Brian but many ideas & interpretations had to be
amended as the country grew - so when the South differed with the
North in what they felt was right - a bloody flame called  "Civil War"
arouse (war between the states for some). quite similar to what is
happening here among the different factions.  IMHO - this seems
to be a conflict between the "newbies" & the "elder statemen". 

Several long time participants have left the LUG, or at least will not
take an active part any longer due to many causes, one being the
monopolization of space by the posting 4,6,8 or more answers to 
questions that have already been answered.  As these posters are
almost without exception long time participants, they should know 
better -  It is not their God given right to reply or voice an opinion
on every post unless they feel that they have some information
others don't have. Please give others a chance to use the soap box.

Now that the "mouse" has spoken, she will return to her abode & lurk.
