Subject: [Leica] Slave labor??

Luggers,

The article about Leica being involved was reported in an article in the
Oklahoma City paper today or yesterday.

I also read the story, can't verify it out of hand, that during WWII Leica
was one of the companies that transfered Jewish workers to the US to get
them out of Germany. Perhaps, if they used "slave" labor, they did it to
get people out of the concentration camps. If you were an officer of a
German corporation during WWII and hated what they were doing - what could
you do to help, without ending up in the camps yourself??

Will the corporations compensate all enforced laborers during WWII??
