Those who feel this way might enjoy reading Compton
Mackenzie's novel Whisky Galore. It was also made into a movie,
but, typically, the book is FAR better. It's about an island off
the coast of Scotland during WWII that has to ration whiskey
because it's being sold in the U.S. to finance the war effort.
Then a freighter full of Scotch runs aground and the real fun
begins. Definitely worth poking around in the library to find.
The only way it could be better is if Leicas figured in the plot.
(Didn't think I was gonna get that in, did you?)
