In my area, we can get free access to the internet with a free account at our public library. They give you a signin name, password and dial up number just as any other ISP would. We don't get e-mail, but Hotmail can give you an email account for free. At first, I didn't use it much because all my mail had to be read on-line. However, Hotmail started a POP3 mail service for $18.00 PER YEAR. The only problem is when I travel, the dial-up becomes a long distant call. But to get email, it is not expensive. Therefore, I now get internet access and email for $1.50 per month. I'm ready to drop CompuServe, of which I am paying $24.95/month. Best Regards, Rick Floyd
