The Foton was an attempt to develop a camera exclusively for night
photography (Foton = few photons). The real importance of this item was its
famous and highly collectible lens the f0.5 Noctimax.Unfortunately, it was
a commercial disaster as the resulting thin negatives could only be
developed in undiluted Sharpo.
