Tom,

All my "testing" is in the field. That's where they're supposed to work, so
I guess that makes sense for me. So I guess that I'm getting better results
with the Leica, because I'm used to the way they work (feel). I never liked
the feel of the 70-200 L Canon. So big, and difficult to focus on an EOS1n
in manual. It is a great lens.

Glad to hear you're shooting up a storm. You might want to have the
contacts checked on your winder. I'm betting that you'll find Leica
replaces them and you won't have any more trouble. They've already changed
the winder some from the original model.
