[Leica] Collectors or users driving the used M market???

It seems that some people are frustrated with the world as they see it
and try to control it by defining standards to which all others must
conform.

Perhaps they should formulate a guide listing all the
things Leicaphiles should do (and not do). The guide might include:

        If you shoot only family snapshots you should have no more than
        one PS Leica. However, if your income is above 50K net, then
        you may also have an M6 with 50 and 90 (but not Noctiluix).
        (see charts with appropriate income=equipment scales).

        If you are in the medical profession, you must submit notarized
        proof of how many rolls of film (and what types) are shot with
        each camera you own. Shooting less than the minimums formulated
        may result in limiting future purchases. . .or confiscation.

        If you feel like painting or taping various parts of your Leica
        in different colors (just because you feel like it), then you must
        never embarass other Leica owners by appearing in public -
        especially camera stores or trade shows - with your creation.

        If you take special care of your Leicas, (because you do want to
        protect your investment, or you want to take care of something
        you think is special, or, you just want to do this because this
        is the way you are with everything you own and use)
        you must wear a large red-dot badge with a "C" (for collector)
        at all times.
        (note: this also applies to any other well-made item you enjoy
        using - either on a daily basis for work, or only occassionally,
        for fun and enjoyment.).

        . . .and on and on.

       (Just imagine the posts from these control freaks
        if they  could know the deep, dark inner secrets of most Leica
        user/buyers/hoarders/collectors/defacers, etc.)
