I have to agree with you.   I tried my damndest to like MacIntosh.  Most
beautiful equipment on the market but, to my ear, it just didn't sound good.
I owned several pieces and the sound good be beat with equipment costing a
fraction of what it cost.  Here again, this is subjective.
