Anyone who is really interested in privacy would not have a modem, internet
account, etc. Be realistic and realize that anything that goes onto a phone
line or into a computer is not secure. It can go anywhere and it can reach
anyone, often partly or wholly out of context, and possibly without proper
attribution. Therefore, but thoughtful about what you post. It may turn up
anywhere at anytime. The good news is that there is so much traffic that
nobody pays much attention to what most of us write, and for good reason.
However, if someone wants to conceal their name, who cares? The rub is that
most people interpret unsigned posts differently than those that are (or
appear to be) signed.
