worked with large format cameras and flash powder and produced work that
equals the work of contemporary photographers.

        My question was always, "what could they have done if they had Leica
M6's and Nikon matrix metered fill flash?".

        The answer?  The EXACT same photos but just more of them.

Your question is incredibly short-sighted and shows a lack of Visual Literacy.

I would pose your question in reverse. How many of US could compete with the
"OLD MASTERS" without fast lenses, bright viewfinders, AF, motordrives and
high tech metering and flash systems?
