I remember going to Ansel Adam's studio in Carmel in the mid 60s and seeing the wonderful prints he was selling for very reasonable prices. He waited on me himself. I bought one photo for my parents (which I think they promptly threw away). I would have bought more for myself but having just got married and bought a house I frittered my money away on little things like food, furniture and mortgage payments. Ain't hindsight wonderful!
