Subject: [Leica] hard to find? german 50/2 summicron

I've been looking for a previous version 50/2 M (detachable hood, focus 
lever) for a while now.  There are a few here and there, but they're all 
made in Canada.  Were these lenses ever made in Germany?  I'm beginning 
to wonder.

By the way, I know they're the same, but I'm looking for one for a 
collector...
