Subject: [Leica] Cleaning Marks: How Much of a Difference?

Sorry--young and still learning.  How much difference does a cleaning mark, on
the front lens, make in the quality of a photograph?  Today, a dealer told me
that if it was only on the front, it would not noticeably affect picture
quality.  Is this a true statement?
