Subject: [Leica] M6 Diopter - HELP

I just bought a diopter for my M6 HM.  I tried to unscrew the eyepiece -
turning counter clockwise - but it wouldn't budge.  I don't want to
wreck havoc on anything.  Is there a trick to getting the thing off?  It
does screw off doesn't it?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
