This sometimes leads to misunderstandings such as this one. It also sometimes provokes unfounded irritation when one posts a reaction to an article while the original poster is asleep and oblivious of the developing thread, and vice-versa, when the US produces 50+ posts and threads that seem cold meat to their authors when Euroland or Asia respond...
