My recollection is that the LUG was not meant to be a commercial buying
or selling venue. Then, in an attempt to realistically and practically
accomodate a need the Friday provision was enacted. That need was that
we do periodically buy and sell this equipment and the LUG was a logical
place to do so. 

But the Friday provision was settled on so that we wouldn't become
overloaded with marketing posts and to generally keep the LUG a source
of information and not commerce.

My objection to the M6 TTL HM post was that it reeked of commercialism.
The poster was basically wheeling and dealing and acting as a middleman;
not selling a piece of his own equipment.

I think we've all been willing to turn a tolerant cheek when someone is
selling their own stuff and it doesn't quite meet the LUG's timeframe.
But that post was pretty flagrant and deserved to be commented upon.
