The M3 has a Self Timer and always shows the 50 frameline in the finder.  The
M2 has the 35 mm framelines which are far more useful than the 135 framelines
of the M3.  35, 50 & 90 cover 90% of most picture taking situations.  The M2
is a pure picture taking machine, with no superfluous elements.
