What got you down on bounce flash? Color? It's helped me a bunch of
times although not in years. The new M6 TTL body might change that when
I get one as a second body.
I used to even use it a lot in my small studio untill the oil base white
walls turned yellow. I used to think it was the smoke from the models
but I cracked down on that a decade ago. And repainted the walls. Its a
shame cause its as durable as Formica but now its getting illegal to
sell it. 
For some photographers bounce flash is a dirty word and I don't grasp
the logic.
