As a 30-plus year dedicated Leica M user, my response/opinion to the
Olympus-Leica debate is: I have owned/used several OM4T's and a wide range
of Olympus glass also for many years.  However, like most of us, searching
for
the "holy grail" of SLR camera-lens performance, last year I bought an R7,
then
an SL2, and finally R8 with the legendary 100 2.8 APO and 180 3.4.
Today I still have the Leica M's, and the full OM4T system  - but no R's.
BTW, the OM 50mm 1.8 has long been considered to be an extroadinarily sharp
lens. . .
but then again, so was (in my case), the Leica 100 2.8 APO!
