It has been my experience that the newer Heliopan polarizers are "slightly"
smaller in diameter than older versions and therefore fit under the hoods
of M lenses. At least all 50's and 35's that I have owned. 35/2 non ASPH,
35/1.4 ASPH 50/2 (3 versions, snap on hood, built-in hood, and DR).
