Hi! You didn't mention which system you're using but most of the following is ported to both Mac &
the PC. Here's my choices many I've used, in various price ranges. Hope this helps.

Jasc Software's Paint Shop Pro Version 5....69.99 it support most popular scaners & digital cameras
multi layer support and support 40 different graphic file formats. E-Z to learn.

MicroSoft Photodraw2000...129.99 (I'm still testing the bata of this one) if you know MS Word, you can
figure this one out. It integrates with MS Office package.

Corel's CorelDRAW 8...full version ..$424...upgrade $223. I used version 7 and I really like it, less learning
curve than Photoshop. Lots of features plus HTML export.

Deneba Software's Canvas version 6 $375 (can be had for less) a load of features & learning curve like
Photoshop, but it is a 'one stop graphics shop' no need to buy anything else. I used version 5 and really
liked it, would choose over Photoshop.

There are other products on market, If you can get hold of the Jan 99 issue of British mag PC Review
there was 2 CDs attached with full versions of various software, one is Satori Version1.63 street price $500
Much like Photoshop but with better memory management . For the cost of the mag ($13.95) I got
$1000 worth of software!
