I have a set of M lens that use 39 mm filter size.  For this set, I have a set
of Leitz 39 mm filters (which I sometimes use) for black and white pan films
(yellows, green, orange, red and polarizer filters).  I also have a couple of
UV filters which I sometimes use when I want to put a foreign substance on the
lens for effect.  I don't have filters for any other size.  When I use these
filters, it is usually in a controlled situation where I don't need faster
lenses.

Works for me.
