Patrick,

Two clicks between f-stops, representing 1/3 stop increments, doesn't
sound like a bad idea (it would, for example, correspond to varieties
in film speeds). But why only between f/2.8 and f/4? It must be an
error. I'd exchange the lens for a new one. Apparently you've been
"Snook"-ered. :)

With apologies,

Art Peterson

LUGgers,

I would be most grateful for help with this:

I have a new Summicron 50mm/M. My question concerns the aperture
ring. Between each f-stop there is one other click-stop, representing
a half stop--except for between f/2.8 and f/4, which has *two* clicks.

Is this a mechanical error? (If not, do these two clicks represent
1/3 stop increments?)

Thank you, in advance.

Patrick Snook
