Teflon is a very, very soft material which would pick up abrasive specs of 
dirt and allow it to become embedded in the Teflon thus providing a tiny 
knife blade to scratch all film that was subsequently dragged across it.

Let's hope Leica is able to resolve the problem.

If no one has any problems with the R-8 pressure plates, Leica might consider 
using that technology in the M-6.
