Perhaps it's because 95% of Leica's customers are wealthy (and I won't argue 
what wealthy is) amateurs or 'owners' -- maybe not even up to the 
term 'amateur', in the traditional use of the word.
Possibly also because 95+% of pros don't use Leica?....now to be fair, 
probably half of them don't use 35mm at all, but you get the picture...
Leica's advertising to pros would be like Audio Research advertising 
to movie theatre operators! (funny, with the recent Leica 
reliability issues, that analogy takes on even more significance! :) :)

Nope, Leica's marketing has been right on the last few years, I >HATE>
to admit......
