I think I remember reading from the Xtol data sheets that diluting
will increase sharpness, but that it does this at the expense of
enhancing grain.  Can anyone clarify?

Martin: let us know what you find out about long development.
I use Xtol 1:1 for 16 minutes in small tanks, and I too would like
to free up those minutes for something else.  I may experiment
with this.
