Dan,

Be careful with 3 volt lithium battery in a classic M6.
It still lighten the red arrows in viewfinder even when
there is not enough power for an accurate reading.
Usually the last film before the battery died is wrongly exposed
from 3 or 4 EV.
That's my experience anyway.
