Giorgio,

Perhaps you got a faulty batch of Velvia, or perhaps its characteristics
simply do not please you. I do not think there is universal agreement
that Velvia is the best slide film. A lot of people like its saturated
colours and fine detail (as you would expect in such a slow film). A lot
of other people hate the colours of Velvia and prefer more neutral films
like Astia or Kodachrome. To each his/her own.
