Albert, The LUG consensus seems to be the same as what I have overheard in
old-fashioned strip clubs in an other context:"TAKE IT OFF". Seriously.
however, in case of volcano eruptions, mud slides, tornadoes, and if you
have misplaced your lenscap, the UV filter comes quite handy!
