You're welcome, Pete!  One other side benefit of using the grip this way, is
that it centers the tripod screw under the camera body, and distributes the
load across more area.

Thanks for your note! I also got one from Joe and he basicly made the same 
point about the grip - but uses the GMP M Grip. I am seeing the trend in the

solution now. Thanks again! Quite helpful.
