Yes, Leica outsources some of its product as many have already noted on the
LUG board so the horse is already out of the barn; however, the Leica
cheerleaders must dream up some excuse for the downhill ride Leica upon which
Leica presently finds itself and attack anyone who questions the sacred cow.
It is a technique taught and employed in the capitol of the United States
with such effectiveness.

It is very likely Leica cannot afford to manufacture all of the parts in
Germany which is now a socialist welfare state. Why work hard and
meticulously if it is no longer necessary to sustain one's standard of
living? Just shuffle off the work to others deep in the Pacific rim. Then
let the customer be the quality control officer and sell the returned stuff
as "demo" when there is a failure so bad the customer cannot live with it. A
good "bean counter" trick.

Come on cheerleaders, let's hear the next excuse!
