I've had my M6 for 6 years. It hits the floor or pavement hard about
every other year. I had the focusing adjusted once while I stood their
for 40 seconds. Now I do it myself with a screwdriver. When ever I get
some extra cash instead of buying an extra body like any intelligent
person would I buy more new glass usually of the ASPH or Apo ilk.
It takes a likin and keeps on ticken. I'm averaging 5 or 10 rolls per
week in this one body.
It will receive it's first CLA in the very beginning of next millennium
after I get a second body.
Two other people have gone out and bought Leica M systems as a result of
seeing my camera and prints.
My second body will not be a ttl but a black version of my M6 classic.
But I will not be ordering this camera from New York like the first. I
will buy it over the counter from a store in Portland Oregon and make
sure a lens fits on it and the pressure plate is smooth. No more waiting
and guessing. My trust level has sunk a tad but part of this is my own
age and my own relationship to where and how I throw my money.
