Thanks to all who responded to my plea for help. I just looked at two rolls
of Ilford XP2 Super that I processed last night, and the problem has
disappeared. The change I made was to make sure that the bleach-fix was
oxygenated just before using it, by pouring it into a container and back
into the bottle several times, in addition to shaking the bottle vigorously.
It seems to have done the trick, as I made no other changes and the
chemistry is the same that had given me the problem a couple of days ago.
