Without going into a lot of detail, I find that I often get better exposures
from my M6/M6 meter than from my Nikon F4 with it's supposedly sophisticated
metering, when shooting transparencies almost exclusively.

As long as you are aware of, and make use of how the M6 meters, changing
with focal length etc.

Go out and shoot some test rolls under different circumstances...
