Round Two

MLU means Mirror Lock Up. It's an SLR thing. It locks the mirror up,
such that you can take the shot without the mirror (and diaphragm)
movement and vibration ruining your photo. This is neat for shutter
speeds roughly between 1/15 and 4 sec.

This was all explained at length and in detail, before the thread
happily derailed. Thank you for bringing us back on track by repeating
the original question.
