Thanks, Mark. Now I see the little notice in the upper right hand corner
of page 49 of the B+W catalog that says:

B+W Series Filters.
Filter glass in mounts without threads that are placed into special
holders and are held in place with a retaining ring or a lens hood.
Available in sizes Series 4 to Series 10b.

Brian Bowers say the lens takes S7 filters and at
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/photo/filters/glass/bw/polarizer.html it
lists a
Kaesemann Linear Polarizer S7 for $108.95. Over a hundred bucks is
still pretty steep.

Originally I misread a previous size chart
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/photo/filters/glass/bw/sizecode.html to
conclude that S7 was the same as 122mm. Thanks for correcting my error.

Like I said I intend to wait for the lens. I assume that it will be
obvious what size/shape filters it takes when I am able to hold the lens
in my hands.

I think I have found a lens, but it is more expensive than Jem's who
said(My example has suffered a damaged filter thread and scatch from a
fallen shelf but optically it is fine) in Cyberspace(and the USA) and
will probably call on the land-line on Monday. Thanks for the help
everybody, Dale
