A3 is approximately 11" X 17"
A4 is approximately 8.5" X 11"
A5 is approximately 5.5" X 8.5"
The started as drawing size descriptions which have taken over the copiers
and therefore the writen standards. The North American Market has
corresponding formats such as E, D, C, B, and A size paper. The "European"
standard is international and creates problems when copying A4 paper to 8.5"
X 11" since the A4 is a bit taller and slightly narrower. use 93% to copy
A4 to 8.5" X 11".

perhaps a dumb question, but I keep running into "A4" size prints, etc,
etc. What are the "inch" equivalents to these "A-series" size prints? Can
someone clarify this? Are these standard "European" size prints, and if so,
