They'd be happy to be remembered at all. Several others made it to space during the next six years: Strelka, Belka, Pchelka, Mushka, Damka, Krasavka, Chernushka, Zvezdochka, Verterok, and Ugolyok. Some of them made it back. They and the early Leicas were all noble beasts.
