I assure you there is no need to feel wounded and defensive.

Giorgio did not speak ill of Americans. On the contrary he admonished
Italian LUGgers to behave and not stand out lest they be talked about in the
usual stereotypes: pizza, Fiat, etc.. (allow me to add my own : "Mussolini
put the trains on time").
