Has anybody with a Ricoh GR1 experienced the following problem (and have the solution!): I turn on the camera and the lens moves out, I press the release and the lens move a little bit further to focus, so far OK, but when I press the release further the camera just rattles four-five times at very high frequency, and then lens withdraws to the standby position, but the shutter has never opened and thus there is no picture. I have taken out the battery and put it back in, no change. The same thing happens with flash on or off, with distance preset and not, and with program mode on and with aperture preset and with automatic mode.
