Alan,

Here are the answers to your questions which no one seemed to want to 
address.  1. All M2's have the modern shutter speed scale.
2. Yes, the rubberized M6 eyepiece can be fitted to the M2.  The cost for the 
part is about $80.  You need a special tool to install it.  Or it can be done 
by any Leica repairman.
