One comment, even thogh the 6.8 (I believe) lens you picked up is sharp, =
you still will not be able to blow out the background like you could =
with the 400mm F2.8 of another manufacturer. BUt if you shoot at F8, =
then it does not matter.

Quite right you are about that. Any lens design is going to be a =
compromise between a number of competing factors. As I mentioned, my =
560/6.8 only cost me $600, is quite light, easily handheld, breaks into =
two pieces for easy transport, is very sharp and contrasty, and is =
immune to flare. A $7,500 or $11,000 lens would not even remotely be an =
option for me. If I was shooting pro sports or wildlife for a living =
perhaps I would feel differently. So far, the inability to blow out the =
backgroud compared to a f2.8 or f4 has not been a factor to me.
